Commission in Box
A New type
of Gift
Just watch the video on the right and let Ali tell you all about how you commission
your bespoke cartoon.
Every dog has its day.
Let me create a cartoon of it.
Commission in a Box is a wonderfully personal way to commission a bespoke Hot-Digitty cartoon—for yourself, or as an unforgettable gift for someone who adores their dog. This is not simply a portrait copied from a photograph. Through conversation, photographs, videos and favourite stories, Ali gets to know the dog behind the face. She then creates a completely original cartoon that captures the personality, relationships and little moments that make that dog unique.
How to Commission
your Bespoke Cartoon
Ali will guide you through the four easy stages required to commission your bespoke cartoon.Just watch the three videos below and follow her instructions.
01
Tell Ali about your pet.
The process begins with a personal conversation.
You share photographs, videos, favourite memories and the funny little details that reveal the dog’s true character.
Stage One
02
Stage Two
Ali creates the idea
Ali considers the stories, relationships and visual possibilities, then develops an original cartoon concept.
This is where a collection of memories begins to become one clear visual story.
03
Stage Three
Approve the black-and-white drawing
Ali produces a developed black-and-white drawing showing the composition and characters.
You can request one reasonable, consolidated set of changes before giving written approval.
04
Stage Four
The cartoon comes to life in colour
Once the drawing is approved, Ali creates the finished original artwork in her distinctive crayon style and prepares it for delivery.
A Hot-Digitty cartoon captures who a dog is.
Perhaps it is the way they occupy the best chair, supervise every meal, rule the household or turn the quietest walk into an adventure. These are the details that make a dog part of the family—and they are the starting point for Ali’s work.
Ali does not simply reproduce one photograph. She listens, observes and develops an original visual idea. The result is a humorous, affectionate and highly personal piece of original artwork that could only belong to one dog and one family.
Your commission includes:
● A personal consultation with Ali.
● Consideration of photographs, videos, memories and stories.
● Original creative development and composition.
● A developed black-and-white approval drawing.
● One reasonable, consolidated set of changes at the approval stage.
● The finished original colour artwork in Ali’s distinctive crayon style.
● Preparation of the completed artwork for delivery.
This is not a reproduction service or a quick portrait made from a single photograph. It is a complete, individually developed commission—from the first conversation to the finished original artwork.
